What's been happening

2011

Then we come to the late season highlight the sublime Offham bash. Many of the club denizens were to be observed perambulating in the late Autumn sunshine.

Things obviously get a bit quiet as this time of year because people don't get the weirdly good weather we've been having normally any how at least we have the old bikes trial at Canada Heights to help us through the very late Autumn.

Following rapidly on came club grub which was a good success and thanks to the the pub for providing plenty of nosh and some drink.

So we come to the finale, some say its disappointing that nobody got frostbite but the Farningham bash was even busier than usual:

So its now time to say Happy New Year and boldly go etc

2012

Its the usual quiet spell to start the year though the weathers been OK. First up was a revisit to the Ally Pally after a long absence and it was a different show but pretty pleasant though not like old times.

Just for once the management got its act together and Ardingly didn't clash with the Pioneer run so the show was well attended by our lot and others, must get round to getting the camera out but it was a fine do anyhow. Following soon after comes the wonderful traditional London to Brighton, even the weather turned cooperative and this time it was camera at the ready.

Next up came a trip to Essex, not often visited by Kentish types but the Coalhouse Fort near Tilbury is well worth a visit.

The Easter period started with our AGM which went smoothly and then on Good Friday followed the Maidstone Aces Charity Run which went well but our lots turn out was pretty poor. After that the rains came with the hosepipe ban! Fortunately I had decided to take this moment to do some Hols so good timing for a change. The first sun on return produced an ad hoc trip to Ham st A/J and Rye.
